Miles de merlenses participaron de “Zumbathon solidario”, un evento deportivo libre y gratuito, que tuvo lugar en el Parque de la Unidad Nacional y permitió reunir alimentos no perecederos para comedores y hogares del distrito.
La Subsecretaría de Deportes organizó este encuentro para promover la actividad física y crear un espacio de interacción con objetivos solidarios.
El Subsecretario de Deportes, Mauro Schmahl expresó: “Estamos muy orgullosos porque vinieron los instructores de zumba más importantes del país a dictar las clases” e informó que “seguimos planificando actividades y programas para mejorar la vida de los merlenses”.
La instructora Romina Dipierro comentó que “lo disfrutamos mucho y la gente demostró su felicidad con una sonrisa”. Por último, detalló que “en el municipio hay muchas actividades para disfrutar y sin el apoyo de la gestión Menéndez, esto no sería posible”.
Las clases de zumba estuvieron a cargo de profesores y profesoras destacadas a nivel nacional e internacional como: Romina Dipierro, Florencia Salgado, Magali Cepeda, Priscila Graf y Diego Chantir.
