La edición del US Open tuvo su gran final entre Novak Djokovic (2° del ranking ATP) y Daniil Medvedev (3°). Nole se coronó campeón con un marcador de 6-3, 7-6 y 6-3, y consiguió su objetivo de extender su registro como mayor ganador de torneos de Grand Slam de la historia: 24 conquistas.
El serbio presentó un gran nivel para quedarse con el primer set por 6-3 y poner las condiciones el partido. En el segundo parcial el ruso levantó su rendimiento, aunque enfrente Nole le dio pelea hasta el último punto para ganar 7-6. Y el último se lo llevó por 6-3 para gritar campeón.
Djokovic, que a partir del hoy desplazará al español Carlos Alcaraz y volverá a ser número uno del mundo, logró su cuarta consagración en el Abierto de los Estados Unidos (ya había ganado en 2011, 2015 y 2018). Medevedev, por su parte, no pudo repetir lo hecho en la final del 2021, cuando le ganó a Nole por un triple 6-4 y alcanzó el único título de Grand Slam de su carrera.
